In this section, I will discuss the SAE 5 levels of autonomy, highlighting techniques and sensors for specific applications.

Parallel parking is quite different than shopping mall parking, garages are a whole different matter.

Adaptive cruise control, route navigation, lane selection. Reliance on GNSS (satellite nav)

stopping for intersections (red lights, stop signs, etc).

lane finding (even when passing 'straight' through a large intersection) and road/curb finding for unmarked roads

Calibration of sensors (garbage in, garbage out)

Stopping within 1/2 m of stop line
